This is probably my favourite album..when does it get a repress...soon I hope.. I get the same melancholia when I listen to this as I get when i hear the strains of a well drilled pit band drifting through the ether of my mind... these albums speak of and about the sociology of people and thier places in a crumbling socialistic infrastructure ,and of the industry that employs and shapes thier lives,in the current tense and also a nostalgic magical utopian tense of public information film

O love all the songs on this amazing album, howevet this particular one sticks out to me while stoned on chem•de-la•chem walking beneath the twilight clouds and setting the mood with this fabulous album I've been coming back to again and again with a topic I talk often of... life, time and the mystery of being and death.

Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW .

Being a child in the 70s and early 80s had a certain spookiness to it. Spirits seemed more readily available. I recall a homesickness which would haunt me even then, as if I were from another place entirely. Life's a mystery which childhood makes even worse, so let us revisit it in all its haunting creepiness. Who are the "pocket pavilions"? I can find nothing more other than this one song, and it's a very good tune I really enjoy.
